Cotton & Bow Featured in Inside Weddings Magazine
As a custom stationery designer specializing in watercolor illustrations and fine art wedding invitations, I’m thrilled to share that Cotton & Bow’s work was recently featured in Inside Weddings magazine. The old world, Italian-style editorial showcased a stunning maximalist tablescape inspired by Italian still-life paintings. And the shoot features a custom invitation suite and place cards from Cotton & Bow alongside other luxury wedding vendors.
The styled shoot was designed to inspire couples who want their wedding to stand out from the typical light and airy aesthetic that dominates social media. Instead, it embraced drama, cultural artistry, and Old World romance – elements that I absolutely love incorporating into my custom stationery designs for the right couple.
Deborah Kugler of CASA OFFICIALÉ led the creative direction, drawing inspiration from the late-afternoon gardens of Villa D’Este. The team created an intimate destination wedding setting transporting us to a bygone era. The shoot featured extraordinary details like miniature Italian columns, a functional water fountain, butter molded into Roman deities, and raw-linen menus styled after Italian literature.
Our invitation suite and place cards were designed to complement this rich, maximalist aesthetic while maintaining the elegance expected of a luxury Italian wedding. The stationery pieces helped tell the story of an aristocratic gathering in a majestic garden setting.
