As a custom wedding stationery designer, I understand how meaningful it is to have all your loved ones present on your special day. Unfortunately, sometimes circumstances prevent certain guests from attending your wedding, whether due to health concerns, travel limitations, or scheduling conflicts.
When Bridal Guide recently interviewed wedding professionals about including absent guests, I shared one of my favorite strategies:
“Give them a call on the day. FaceTime them in as you’re getting ready, give them a quick phone call between the ceremony and the cocktail hour, or leave them a voice note from the after-party. Hearing your voice and how excited you are is a great way to create a memory of the wedding, even if they weren’t there in person.”
This simple but meaningful gesture creates connection despite the physical distance. Your wedding day moves quickly, but taking just a few minutes to share your joy directly can make absent loved ones feel truly part of your celebration.
